Watching the Calendar Can Save You Money

Watching Calendar Can Save Money

It’s July and that means it is time to celebrate Christmas – Christmas sales. Christmas in July sales offer discounts on holiday-themed merchandise
yet retailers also offer bargains throughout the year, and consumers can realize significant savings. The key is to shop
out of season when it’s a
buyers’ market.

Celebrate Savings
Take advantage of those Mother’s and Father’s Day deals to purchase December holiday and birthday gifts for the men and women in your life. Almost every major holiday features great sales on appliances so remember to watch for advertisements in the week leading up to the holiday.

To Have And To Hold
Hold on to more of your money when it comes to wedding expenses. June brides already have their dresses, making June the perfect time for others to save on gowns. Wedding guests should mark January on their calendars to remind them to save on gifts of linens and house wares.

The Great Outdoors
By August and September, stores need to sell their garden future and grills to make room for holiday displays and offer hot deals to those who can afford to buy something they don’t need right away.

Put It In The Closet
Unlike children who grow in spurts, most adults can buy clothes that will fit them in six months. Take advantage of sales at the end of the season to buy summer clothes in the fall and winter clothes in the spring.

Trade In For An OLDER Model
Savvy car shoppers have always known the best time to shop for a new car is September when the next year’s models have arrived and dealers are ready to bargain on the older cars on their lots. The same holds true for electronics and phones as retailers slash prices on current products when the newer versions grab the spotlight.

Big Screen, Small Price
There is never a better time to purchase a TV than after the Super Bowl even if that means you have to switch your sports party to the basketball playoffs.

Shop Around
Stores aren’t the only ones who offer sales. The start of any month, and January in particular, is a good time to scan classified ads, log onto Ebay and shop garage sales as others are looking for ways to pay their own bills.
